Courtney Caruthers

I gave my first sermon at the age of 12. And by the grace of God, I received my first church work at age 18. I have been preaching the gospel for the past 38 years in different congregations across the country. I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Religious Education in 1989 and an Associates’ Degree in Bible in 1987, from Southwestern Christian College, in Terrell Texas, where I was elected as the president of Tau Phi Kappa. (A ministerial club).

My interest include: Community Outreach, Education, and Evangelism. I was able to start a debate between the Church of Christ and the Pentecostal churches hosted by Jack Evan Senior. I began a Campus Ministry at Xavier University, in New Orleans.  I was also instrumental in starting a state wide campaign called “Just a Fellowship,” in Ohio which all the congregations began to come together quarterly to worship together and evangelize the community.   I have been blessed to be able to speak at many National Lectureships, State Lectureships, Gospel Meetings, and National and Local Teachers Workshops.

I met my wonderful wife Sybil (Perry) Caruthers in Indianapolis, IN and we have been married for 30 years.  We have been blessed with three beautiful daughters and a grand daughter.  Candace Faith Caruthers, Charlene Hope Caruthers, and Courtney Joy Caruthers (Peyton Caruthers grand daughter).

My aim is to “save sinners, strengthen the spirit, and serve the Saints”
